The policy sets out clear guidelines and procedures for assessing these applications. It helps ensure that all farmland classifications are made fairly, consistently and transparently, using the same criteria for every application.

Between 13 August and 10 September 2025, we invited you to review and provide feedback on the Draft Farmland Rating Policy.

Following Council’s resolution at the Ordinary Meeting on 15 July 2025, the draft policy was placed on public exhibition for a period of 28 days.

During this time, no submissions were received from the community.

As no feedback was provided and no major changes were required, Council has now formally adopted the policy.
