Kiama is preparing to come alive after dark!

Kiama Council has received NSW Government funding to develop a Night‑Time Economy Strategy and investigate the establishment of a Special Entertainment Precinct (SEP), including consideration of a 12‑month trial from 1 January 2027.

'Kiama After Dark' will explore opportunities for growth in twilight and night‑time activity across the Kiama Local Government Area (LGA). The Strategy aims to create the right conditions for a safe, vibrant and well‑managed after‑dark economy that strengthens Kiama’s social and economic fabric, supports live music and entertainment, and encourages local business growth — while respecting local character, residential amenity and community expectations.

Community and business input is vital in shaping the Strategy and informing decisions about any future Special Entertainment Precinct.
