The Draft South Werri Masterplan is the key document that will shape and prioritise future improvements to the Reserve, located at the southern end of Werri Beach on Pacific Avenue in Gerringong.

It lays out Council’s vision for the space and sets a roadmap for projects that will be developed over time, depending on available funding. At its core, the masterplan reflects the community’s desire to preserve as much native habitat as possible while also creating more opportunities for recreation.

How we got here

Community consultation is the first step in the masterplanning process. It helps gather people’s ideas and priorities for the space, ensuring their needs are addressed in the designs. Read the Community Consultation Report (PDF, 9.28 MB) for an overview of what we heard during the community consultation phase.

Guiding principles

The consultation process set up some key design principles that can help guide masterplanning and any future design work. They also serve as a handy way to assess different aspects of the design.
