Kiama Council is seeking feedback from Councillors on the draft Code of Meeting Practice (COMP) before updating the current code.

This short survey will help us:

  • Check your understanding of the key changes in the 2025 Model Meeting Code
  • Invite suggestions on the non-mandatory provisions, which can be tailored to suit our needs
  • Identify any challenges or concerns that may affect implementation.

See the FAQ for a summary of which parts of the Model Code councils must adopt. Mandatory provisions are required by all councils, while non-mandatory ones are optional.

Your feedback will help refine the draft Code to ensure it aligns with the Office of Local Government’s Model Code of Meeting Practice, while also meeting the practical needs of Councillors.

This is an important step before the draft goes to Council for endorsement and public exhibition.
